Patty Fields Sidewalk Sale...

So last weekend Patricia Fields had a sidewalk sale at her store on 302 Bowery Street, for those of you who are not aware of who Patricia Fields is or Patty Fields as I like to call her, she is the AMAZING stylist from "SEX & the City" "Devil Wears Prada" "Ugly Betty" and many more! I shopped around the store looking at all the trends she has in her work and wanted to buy the "Girl with the Green Scarf" for all my "Confessions of a Shopaholic" Fans but due to the fact that its a recession and I am jobless I could not buy anything at the sale :( but fortunately for my viewers I did snap a few pics of stuff I thought was cool and did a quick style makeover on myself and my boyfriend. I absolutely LOVE Patty Fields store because its like playing dress up or Halloween everyday LOL...you can disguise yourself into anything you want and not a lot of stores offer people that. Its important to wear things your comfortable with, things that make you feel sexy, things that make you look cool, things that give your overall outfit an edge! All those elements are incorporated into her store which is why i find myself in that store religiously :) Take a look at the pics and Fashion's Night Out is September 10th so please support your local retailers!!!! here is the link to Patty Fields website: http://www.patriciafield.com/ Until next time,

Styling with Rae...

Soooo Hello Fanny Followers,

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being the sidekick to stylist Rae Di Salvo, we traveled out to Williamburg, Brooklyn for a video shoot for this up and coming reggaeton group. It was pretty interesting being that this was my first video shoot, the production team was pretty cool, the artist were your typical light skin Spanish dude with a dark Spanish guy with braids lol but they were pretty cool and down to earth, the video shoot of course was your typical bright lights, pretty girls, artist in shades, with the smoke machine in the background LOL!! Rae dressed the models in bathing suits matched with heels and accessories. She did an awesome job working with the girls and finding colors and styles to suit their body type and complexion, along with making sure their swimsuits matched the background colors. I learned a lot by working with her, a lot about the industry; for instance the girls in the video are pretty but lets just say makeup and instant tanner DOES WONDERS!!!!! This one model in particular (she is lucky i don't remember her name!!!) she was pretty but had a nasty ass attitude and tried to take her sweet as time in the accessories Rae had her wear, but at the end of the shoot when she was giving me back the bathing suit I felt that it was a little tooo wet in the private area, so then she comes up to me (all of sudden she knows no English!) and was like "El otra mujer, the girl wearing the suite before me, it was already wet." So basically your telling me that you are that nasty that for 1 you wore a bathing suit that somebody else "wet in" and 2 you tried to lie on the next chick to make yourself look good LOL!!! I was so disgusted when i found out that this chick done had her monthly visit in the damn bathing suit that I touched!!! EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! Besides that unpleasant incident, and the humid warehouse it was at (Bayard Studios) I had an awesome time!!! Thanks again Rae for taking me under your wing :0) make sure you guys check out her facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/Rachel.Rae.DiSalvo?ref=ts

Michael Jackson Influence on Fashion...

OK so I know that I am one of many whom loved Michael Jackson so I decided that since my forte is fashion that I dedicate this blog to the King of Pop...Michael has influenced the world of fashion for so many and his style will continue to live on. For starters the shades!!! He killed it back in the 80s with his aviator shades that people to this day still rock! The glitter glove that he is infamous for (you know you all walked around your room wearing a glove singing LOL!!), the bow tie from Billie Jean...it shows in how Kanye, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and Usher have taken from his style. The fedoras!! Need i say more...The Military jackets from his HISTORY days that you still see now but in different forms for guys and girls have given fashion a different way for both sexes to wear the same thing. We all know that when Thriller came on the scene you ran out and brought that red jacket LOL just so you could go to school wearing high waters with white socks thinking you were cool :)
I know as I sit here writing this blog I am listening to "Thriller" were hits such as "Lady in My Life" and "Baby Be Mine" made me fall in love with Michael! He definitely made his mark while he was on this earth with his creative genius, dance moves, humanitarianism, sense of style, and his legacy. I just have to say that with all this attention his death is getting from his Neverland house, to are they his real kids, to the many faces of Michael, to his child molestation charges it makes me sad that this is what the media still continues to focus on!! It makes me most sad that here is a man who was in the public eye for over 40 years, got fame by the time he was 9 years old, was a GLOBAL ICON and never experienced the true love that he sang about with so much emotion in his songs...the price of fame i tell ya!! This is all a true testament that GOD does exist though, he uses people who society places such a immortal view on and brings us back down to reality to let us know that at the end of the day we are all human...Well let me know your thoughts :)

Until Next time...
